On Sunday, Dec. 9th, we received news that Luiza's Dad passed away. This was very difficult for us since we are so far away. We also found out that in Brazil, the body is buried within 12 hours after death. So, Luiza was not able to go to the funeral. I took the week off of work to stay with her and work with Calvin. It was actually a very nice week considering what it could have been like.
Luiza's Dad turned 80 on Dec. 7th, right before he passed away. He had broken his hip back in June and then broke his leg at the end of November. He was a sweet man, and we are very happy that he found Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior a few years ago. He was able to see all of his kids and family before he passed away.
