So, we're blogging now. I realized that I have been in Portland for over 15 years now. I always saw Portland as a temporary home, but it has become my home now. My wife and I have been married for 10 years, have 2 wonderful boys and now may even have puppies pretty soon.
I think you realize that you are behind the times when your parents have a blog and you don't. So, kudos to John and Sharon Harvey for starting up their blog http://aselsi.blogspot.com/ (check it out to see their amazing work in Guatemala with the local Mayan indigenous people.
Calvin, our youngest, just turned 4. He has autism and we are working with him to help him obtain as much the best life he can have. Obviously his autism has demanded just about all of our life's attention over the last couple of years.
Brendon is about to turn 9. He's a Cub Scout and loves it! He's smart (like his mom), funny and a bit too social (just like his dad!).
Luiza is a great mom. She has dedicated all of her time to seeing that Calvin improves and progresses out of the autistic maze that he was born into.
Me, I'm the Dad who works and tries his best to help out. I love playing bass (especially now that I hardly ever get to) and watching movies, drinking Starbucks (I've moved from Frappucino's to Chai Tea Lattes for the winter.) If you don't know these terms, then you obviously are not from a state that has overcast skies and rain for more than half the year. Hahaha...
We'll see if this blogging thing works out. Who would want to read this? I'll have to wait and see...
